This week we spent Thanksgiving back home in Corpus. It was nice visiting family and friends who we hadn't seen since last year. The ride to Corpus, however, was not so pleasant. What usually is a 3 1/2 hour trip, took us 5 hours because Marcus was not being a pleasant passenger. After feeding and changing several times, Analissa was able to help calm him down by holding his hand and singing to him until he fell asleep. For a moment, I seriously thought about turning around because I felt so helpless as he was crying. Andy ending up taking his own truck to go fishing and Elena was his assistant navigator. She loves being with her daddy whenever she can. It's almost a comparison to the little fish that swims along attached to the big fish.

We were so glad to see everyone again by visiting and enjoying some great Thanksgiving food! And even the next several days eating up leftovers. :) We hope that we'll get to do it when Marcus is a little older so that he'll be ready for another big travel.

Uncle Danny and daddy first starting on building the kids' playscape in the backyard.
Last weekend Andy and his brother fixed the playscape we bought for the kids' as an early Christmas gift. There was cold wind, lots of wood pieces, dogs chasing eachother, and kids looking out the window waiting impatiently wanting to play. Both Analissa and Elena (mostly Analissa) helped with getting boards and such for them to attach together. As you can see it turned out really nice and they are having a blast playing on it. We expect many weekends to be in the backyard where it's much more convenient of a play area. A shout out to Uncle Danny for being so awesome and helping out!
