1 month old!

Marcus turned 1 month on Tuesday. He has been a totally different baby than Elena was, and he makes sure of it! He eats really well.....guess that's why he weighs 10 lbs 5 oz. already. He gets up at least once a night around 2 or 3 ish, but stays awake for about an hour and a half to eat. What we've noticed in just this past day is that he's started to "coo" more. I almost forgot how sweet and precious those sounds are. Pretty soon we will be hearing more from him and starting to see those smiles.

We've all been kept on our toes of his needs. The girls, especially, are so attentive to him. Analissa loves holding Marcus and Elena can't give him enough kisses all the time. As soon as she knows he's distressed, she's the first to say something about it so we can go to him. The girls are such great big sisters to their baby brother. Marcus may not like it when he gets older, though, because he may have 3 moms!

We had a tiny visitor this past weekend with Lyla coming over for a little while. We got a very small dose of a house with 4 children which actually wasn't too bad! Granted, Marcus was asleep during this time, so of course it wasn't a bad experience. Lyla was such a good girl and so sweet. She just loved playing with all the toys and getting lots of attention from Analissa and Elena. To make her feel comfortable and know what it's like to be a member of this family, we put her to work after awhile and made her do some laundry! :)

How quickly time flies!

These past two weeks were filled with sleepness nights, constant feedings, a little jealousy from siblings, well.....you get the point. We also had very special visitors to come and help and love on Marcus. We enjoyed every minute of our time with our family and are thankful they were able to take time to come up and stay with us.

I am so blessed to have such an amazing family. My husband is so loving to us and is a great supporter. My kids are such amazing people and I look forward to these years they are growing up together and becoming so close. Thank you again to those who've given us all your prayers and love. God bless!

Marcus is 2 weeks old today!

Today Marcus is 2 weeks old and kickin' butt! Yesterday he had his wellness check up and now weighs 8 lb. 1.5 oz and is 20 1/2 inches tall. Dr. Addy is very happy with his progress as far as eating, sleeping, and growing into the handsome boy he is!
I was worried with his jaundice, but he's getting his color back really well. Marcus is able to lift his head higher and higher since his curiosity has kicked in. One thing he has no trouble doing is eating all the time! He seems to never get full so I'm giving him at least one bottle of formula a day to top him off. Dr. Addy says that's fine to do especially since he can start sleeping more at night rather than getting panicked to wake him up to feed.
Overall, Andy and I are so blessed and thankful at how much he is growing and how healthy he is. We expect to be attending future football games at the rate he's eating!
