Practicing when he's got to take the big dogs out someday!We've been enjoying this hot, yet fun and relaxing summer. It's nice to get up and not have to rush to be somewhere in the morning. No fits being thrown, no rushing to get out the door, no forgetting of homework, and no forgetting of turning off the lights or coffee pot. However, we have managed to enjoy some shopping - obviously! Besides some workshops I attended for work, we have also been trying to get ready for our huge vacation coming up. We'll be driving to Illinois for my cousin's wedding and then visiting a friend in Tennessee on our way back to Texas ( I might have already mentioned this - so oops if I did!)
Elena is counting the days to leave. It's not so much of being at a particular place, but more of that she is dying to stay at a hotel. She is literally counting each day until we get to the hotel. Ever since her first time staying at a hotel when we went to Rockport, she is absolutely ecstatic about hotel life!
We are really looking forward to this experience with the kids. We know it won't be the best driving, but I am really wanting to see some great things on land. I hope this really does become a great experience for our family! Next time will be some snip-its of our vacation so stay tuned for that!
