Doing what a baby does best....

We did a doctor visit today and Marcus is doing very well! Dr. Addy couldn't be happier with his progress and development. He was having difficulty with his bowel movement's, but he finally has surpassed that difficult task. They took x-rays and did other assessments to make sure his intestinal patterns were functioning. Everything looks good and he is in great health!

This weekend our family was blessed to welcome our beautiful baby boy into our lives. All day Friday, I was having irregular contractions and thought maybe something would be happening very soon. It wasn't until late Friday night they became regular and got admitted into the hospital at 1:00 am Saturday morning.
Marcus Alexander was born Saturday, July 26th (my actual due date) at 9:18 am and weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz.
During labor, everyone was anxious to find out what we were going to have. One of our nurses told us that only boys had been delivered since Friday and no girls. Of course, I thought maybe I'd be the one to break that streak and have the first girl. Either way, I just wanted a safe delivery and a healthy baby.
Andy was the first one to say what we had and I just felt an overwhelming of relief once our baby was finally here. I did get sick a couple of times while delivering, but very blessed that we all were healthy and recovering well.
Thank you to all of our family and friends who prayed for a safe delivery and healthy baby. We now look forward to more of you coming and visiting us.

It's a boy!

4th of July!

Grandma Diana and Grandpa Dave came over for the July 4th weekend for some fun. We took them to a local park we've been visiting each year to watch the fireworks for Independence Day. The girls blew bubbles, danced around, did gymnastics, ate cookies, then watched the amazing fireworks. To this day, Elena mentions the fireworks and wants to go see them again.

Baby's crib

The baby's crib will be in mommy and daddy's room for at least awhile and then put in with Elena. It was really hard to find neutral bedding since our baby is a surprise. I've been very lucky to have Grandma Diana and Grandpa Mike help with buying bedding for the kids and getting a new stroller and car seat.

Daddy was a weekend warrior!

Daddy spent the weekend painting Elena and her baby brother or sisters room. Analissa also got a room makeover. We still have wall decorating and such to do, but we wanted to share out what it looks like.
